Dialogue – The Community Performance Network is collaborating with ASSITEJ at this year’s Artistic Gathering to document the conversations, workshops, and performances on offer in Kristiansand between 2nd and 7th September 2019.
The Artistic Gathering, a six day event hosted by ASSITEJ Norway, has been described as “the world’s most important gathering of professionals working within the field of performing arts for young audiences.” The theme of the festival, “Confronting the Present” poses the question, “What is the status of the performing arts for young audiences around the world today?” The festival will encompass an artistic programme, a professional programme, the ITYARN academic conference, and a social programme. Approximately 300 – 500 delegates are expected to attend.
Dialogue will be capturing the event through a range of multimedia, with many resources being published during the event itself. These will all be available to view online at: www.performingdialogue.com
We’re also very excited this year to be livestreaming some of the events online, in partnership with HowlRound Theatre Commons. These will be available to watch on the Facebook pages of: ASSITEJ International, HowlRound Theatre Commons, and Dialogue – The Community Performance Network.
This means that, even if you are unable to attend the Artistic Gathering in person, you need not miss out on all of the world-class knowledge, expertise, and skills that will be on display in Kristiansand.
