Dialogue is proud to announce its partnership with ASSITEJ – the International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People. From 16th-27th May 2017, we will be working to document the “Cradle of Creativity” – ASSITEJ’s 19th Annual World Congress and International Theatre Festival for Children and Young People in Cape Town.
Our team has been given the unique opportunity to document the performances, workshops, lectures and conversations taking place. Using a range of different creative media, we will provide in-depth commentary and varied perspectives on the ASSITEJ Cradle of Creativity to the wider Dialogue network. We will be publishing many of our resources ‘live’ during the 12 days themselves, to help the conversations from the Congress & Festival continue online in a way that is accessible even to those not attending in person.
Although our typical documentation projects, that Dialogue conducts with Stakeholder Partners around the world, usually involves a longer participatory process, our work at the ASSITEJ Cradle of Creativity will take on a more journalistic style in nature, in order to support and publicise as many of the diverse and varied events as possible which take place over a relatively short time period.
We are excited by the prospects of this partnership as we believe it will produce invaluable material, discussions, practical applications and so on that will be highly relevant and useful to performers, contributors, delegates and visitors at the ASSITEJ Cradle of Creativity, and others around the world who are unable to attend, including our other international partners, both current and prospective.
