Space Rocks

A captivating production for Early Years by Flying House.

Space Rocks, produced by Flying House (South Africa) and directed by Athena Mazarakis, follows the characters of JoJo and Jinks as they journey into Space from their bedroom, in search of a better planet.

The video below (6 minutes) gives you a feel for this Early Years performance which explores themes of mythology, science, play and independence.


This performance was held at Magnet Theatre’s ‘Rocking the Cradle’ Fringe Festival, as part of the ASSITEJ Cradle of Creativity 2017. You can find more information and links to further resources about Rocking the Cradle here.

Josephine is a Theatre Facilitator, Director and Producer from London. Her specific interests are in the Theatre in the Criminal Justice System, Theatre as Rehabilitation, Inclusive Theatre and Youth Theatre. A creative and dynamic practitioner with a good sense of humour, Josephine has worked across a variety of companies and settings all over the UK, with experience of working in Prisons and with Young Offenders to improve communication skills. Other recent projects have included Aladdin: The Pantomime with Herts Inclusive Theatre and Lewisham Youth Theatre’s gala performances.
